Thursday, March 18, 2010

It wasn't pretty and it sure wasn't easy, but Paul Demke's #1-seeded Bulls & Bears completed their run through the playoffs and knocked off pesky Big Mike's Sports Rub 45-35 in the league championship game.

The game was a struggle for both teams as whistle-happy referees called the game tightly. The pace of the game was slowed significantly for both teams as a result, with Bulls...

In what has been a rare occurrence in recent years, the top four seeds all took care of business and advanced to the semi-finals, mostly in convincing fashion. Damon Brown (Pecs) and Rob Simmons (Big Mike's) paced all scorers with 23 points. Playoffs continue next week at 7 and 8pm.

The semifinals are a toss-up, as Beach City and Big Mike's split their regular season games, as did...

Regular Season Wrap Up

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

Bulls & Bears wrapped up the #1 overall seed by virtue of its convincing 71-46 victory over Pecs in the regular season finale. Big Mike's took the 2nd seed, thanks to its victory over Beach City Market. On the flip side, a Flicks loss and Colorworks win over SD Ballers created what we believe to be an unprecedented 3-way tie at the bottom of the standings. 3-point specialist Tony Magee...

Week 12 Recap

Thursday, February 11, 2010

The 4-way tie atop the standings was broken, somewhat, as Pecs fell to Beach City Market. This leaves 3 teams tied for first place with two weeks remaining in the regular season. Individual scoring honors went to Josh Langham (Big Mike's), who tallied 29 points in their blowout win over Flicks. The best game of the night came at 9pm, when Bulls & Bears held off a late rally by...
