A season of parity played out in what was an epic night of playoff games, as SD Hoops saw its top four seeds reach the semifinals tonight, each thinking they had a chance to take the title. As was the case most of the season, nobody really knew what to expect and Championship Wednesday saw what had to rank up there with the craziest nights in league playoff history.

In a night full of great games, the best of the lot took place at 6pm between #3 Army of Happy and #6 Urban MO's. Neither team shot well in the first half, with Army taking a 20-16 lead into half. They pushed their lead 7 but MO's chipped away, drawing to within 36-35 at the 1:46 mark in the second. King Mike then hit a bucket and converted an "and-one" with 46 seconds left, giving MO's their...
$10 pre-sale price tonight at the scorer's table ($15 for non-league member guests). The price jumps to $20 on the day of the banquet, which is Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:30 pm (1202 Nightclub on 1202 University Avenue).
Please plan on joining us as we recognize our players and top teams with awards, enjoy a full dinner, and elect our new Board of Officers.
The regular season rolled on with a few more tight games in Week 17 and outstanding individual performances from the usual suspects.
Struggling Pecs (5-10) broke a long losing streak by besting second-place Wsup Now (10-5) in a 62-52 victory, despite another 36 points from league leader Jeff Leas. Patrick Schoettler (Pecs) was fantastic in securing his league-leading 10th double-double...
Congratulations to Paul Demke and his Bulls & Bears (12-2) as they clinched the #1 overall seed for this year's playoffs, by virtue of their 43-32 victory over Pecs (4-10). Wsup Now (10-4) defeated shorthanded Flicks (7-8), who played with just four players, 85-43 to take a one-game lead for second place. That's because The Loft (9-5) fell to Noah Ingram (28 points) and Baja Betty's (5-9...
Not a whole lot was settled in the league's playoff chase this week, although Bulls & Bears (11-2) took a giant step towards clinching the #1 overall seed with their 60-55 win over second-place The Loft (9-4).
Helping with that separation was a stunning 48-46 victory by last-place Jersey Joe's (4-10) over Wsup Now (9-4). Coach James Vidovich hit three second-half 3-pointers, and Bob...
