Please join your friends from SD Hoops at the 4th Annual We CARE holiday mixer Sunday, December 9, at 6pm (1202/The Range). Remember to bring an unwrapped toy and/or some cash to purchase raffle tickets! Complimentary appetizers will be served (thanks, 1202/The Range!), and great drink deals will be offered. The game of the night came at 7pm between two undefeated teams, Bulls & Bears and Wsup Now. Darin Adler's squad held a small lead at half over Paul Demke's Bulls & Bears, but the long-time veteran Demke coached his team to a tight 54-52 victory. League-leading scores Jeff Leas (Wsup Now) was "held" to just 27 points, his lowest total of the year.

Through 4 weeks, we've already got a clear front-runner for league MVP as Jeff Leas (Wsup Now) registered his third straight 30-point game, dropping 36 in his team's 52-36 win over Urban Mo's. SD Hoops kicked off its regular season schedule tonight with four good games, three of which came down to the wire. Wsup Now took down fellow newcomer Army of Happy by a score of 65-50, thanks largely in part to rookie Jeff Leas' league-leading 30 points.

New for 2012-2013:
1) 9 teams (each gets two bye weeks)
2) Longer regular season: 18 weeks total
3) Playoffs will be just two weeks
4) The 9th place team will NOT make the playoffs.
